Delay in all Wildlife and Education Work both National and International – Cee4life

Due to delays in clearance by emergency services to enter forests in Australia to conduct a deep forest search for any surviving wildlife  from the Australian fires which Cee4life was going to do, with Veterinarians in late March, followed by the emergence of the Covid 19 virus, all operations have been halted.  Cee4life is abiding by the Australian Governments directives.

Once clearance is given, we will continue our work for wildlife and education.

Thankyou and wishing all safety and love

The 193 Wombat Killings, The Possible Solution Victoria Australia

Wombat Victoria

Common/Bare-faced Wombat Victoria – Being treated for Mange

Killing Wombat’s Australia

On the 28th July 2019, “The Age” media published a Fairfax/Nine investigative report on the alleged crime and corruption linked between Melbourne’s (Victoria, Australia) Crown Casino and a Chinese businessman named Tom Zhou.  Amongst a host of terrible things, the investigation revealed that Mr Zhou is “an international criminal fugitive, the subject of an Interpol red notice, and that he is/was supposed to be arrested immediately if he crosses a country’s border.”  Mr Zhou also happens to own a property in Victoria where he runs a hunting business for high rollers to shoot and kill one of Australia’s most iconic native Australian marsupials, the common/bare-faced wombats.  This scenario is very similar to the same tactics used by other hunters around the world to sport kill animals such as the African wildlife, polar bears in Alaska, and now the wombats in Australia.  They find a loop hole.

Murrindindi is a scenic and usually quiet area, approximately one hundred kilometres north east of Melbourne.  However the once quiet township is no more as locals are disturbed, concerned and some frightened of the now familiar sounds of gunshots blasting day and night.

The New Daily translated some of Mr Zhou’s company website, (which is written in Mandarin) and includes the following statements:

When we come to Australia, we should experience life that we can’t experience in China,”

The first thing that should be felt in Australia is to be a wilderness hunter in the mountains of Australia”,

Even if you don’t have any shooting experience, it doesn’t matter”,

With professional guidance, you will be a great shooter!”, and

Hares, foxes, wombats, wild ducks, red deer, sambars (deer) … a variety of wild animals to spend a happy holiday with you.

The above statements from Mr Zhou’s hunting website is the essence of propaganda, luring, and enticement. Angering statements to say the least.

The Loop Hole

How has this sickening and totally non-Australian debacle happened?  Wombats are protected in every Australian state except for 193 parish areas in Victoria. The killing of the wombats has happened because the property location (Link to property Murrindindi Farm ) is in a parish area that does not protect wombats. In 1997, under section 7A of the Wildlife Act 1975 (Vic), wombats were declared ‘unprotected wildlife’ in 193 parishes across Victoria.  Is this the mysterious ” loop hole” that has allowed this disgraceful slaughter of the declining wombats?

The Possible Solution

There may be a legal light at the end of this barbaric tunnel.

From legal advise we received, regarding section 7A of the Wildlife Act 1975 (Vic), the declaration is subject to some qualifications, including that wombats may only be taken or destroyed by primary producers (i.e. ‘by a landowner or occupier who is engaged in rural production’). Therefore, hunting wombats for sport is not legal, even if it occurs in one of the 193 parishes.

Request to the Victorian Authorities

From the Wildlife Act 1975 (Vic), it is clear that the hunting activities on the Murrindindi property is breaching the law.  We request that the Victorian Government Authorities shut down Murrindindi farm hunting activities immediately  for breaching the Wildlife Act 1975 (Vic). We request that all firearms found on the Murrindindi property to be confiscated immediately, and finally that Mr Zhou is thoroughly investigated by whatever means it takes to find any other sordid illegal hunting venues in Victoria or Australia.

The growing relationship between the City of Melbourne, Australia and the City of Bandung, Indonesia continues after the signing of a Letter of Intent at an official function in the City of Bandung. Lord Mayor of Melbourne Sally Capp and Mayor of Bandung, Oded, signed off to continue building the relationship between Bandung and Melbourne in May 2019.

There are many similarities between the cities of Bandung and Melbourne, and both cities will work together regarding the health of communities, technology advances, education , conservation and much more.

The meetings were attended by the Lord Mayor of Melbourne, Sally Capp and other Australian/Indonesian representatives, the Mayor of Bandung, Oded, and other Indonesian delegates, the Bandung Zoological Gardens management representatives,  and members of Cee4life. This is a historical event and Cee4life are honoured to have been a part of this union, due to our support to the renovations of Bandung Zoological Gardens and the implementation of education programs on conservation, kindness and compassion to animals and the environment.

The Killing of T1 Tigress: Maharashtra INDIA : A death for Forest Land Allotted for Corporate Industry?

On the 4th November 2018, headlines filled main stream media and social media around the world reporting that the female mother tigress of two, 9 month old cubs, T1 of Maharashtra ( labelled a so called man eater), was shot dead yesterday.   While some specific authorities in India may feel this is cause for celebration, the truth is it is a disgraceful farce and a tragic loss fueled by mass hysteria and the willingness of three pivotal men in positions of power to condemned Avni to death.  These men named by #LetAvniLive on the below picture are,

1) Mishra – who signed the orders to shoot Avni and other wildlife,

2) Shafath – the hunter contracted to kill her but failed, and his own son shot Avni down- illegaly,  and

3) Minister Mungantiwar who ensured Avni would be shot dead.

Photo by #LetAvniLive                                                                                                                                          Photo by AFP from article https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/maneka-gandhi-slams-maharashtra-government-for-t1s-murder/articleshow/66503854.cms

This was without a doubt a witch hunt of epic proportions that rivals the proven frame job which was done on the male tiger T24 of Rathambhore, otherwise known as Ustad , (meaning expert or highly skilled).  Ustad who was named a “man eater” by highly suspect Ranthambhore authorities, was saved from the bullet after a raging world wide campaign, he was tranquilized, instead of the initial kill talk, and now lives in captivity at Sajjangarh zoo, innocent.. Tigress T1 of Maharashtra, affectionately known as Avni (meaning “The Earth”), was subjected to the same hysterical falsities that Ustad was.  On both occasions there was no absolute proof either one was responsible for any human deaths.

The tragic shoot to kill order on Avni annihilated the life of a mother tiger, leaving her two 9 month old cubs alone, but also in this “Coporate Allocated”the area is the father of these cubs and more animals.   The tragedy of Avni unfolded over an approximate 10 month period of time, where it was loudly said by the Maharashtra authorities that Avni killed 13 people, however there was no definitive evidence of this. These days in India, the word “man eater” is thrown around loosely at any given moment for a tiger that may be suspected of killing a human.

A true man eater is usually a tiger that is ill or injured. But although they may be ill or injured, they are still survival specialists through and through and the will take down the easiest prey in their weakened state. Humans are the weakest and easiest living being of all for a Apex predator. Then there is the fact that most tigers that kill humans are actually caused by humans illegally encroaching into the tiger habitat, and this fact doesn’t seem to matter too much to authorities and usually goes completely un-noticed. Another fact that goes virtually unnoticed is that so many people choose all by themselves to wander off into the forest homes of the tigers alone even when they know the dangers. Then there is the complete lack knowledge, (or ignorance or lack of care) by certain Government personal.  They know clearly there is a dire human over population situation with children being born into poverty.  Adults living in severe poverty giving birth to not one or two children, but up to 10 children born into poverty.  Human beings move like a bacteria, overtaking its host, in this case the earth.  The American Museum of Natural History has released a very telling video on this. Please watch – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUwmA3Q0_OE  If we stay on this path that we humans have been walking and destroying for all these years, all countries will eventually kill all wildlife and destroy all the environment, which humans need for our own survival.  Even now wars have broken out for water supplies.

From actions so far in India and many other countries, there seems to be little or no understanding or sheer ignorance of the link between the health of the environment and flourishing wildlife to the health and survival of humans in some Governments, corporations and some people. Its crushing devastation, and now with numerous cases of so called “man eater” tigers, the answer almost always is a bullet, no investigations needed, just a bullet.  The rapid condemnation and death of a Tiger labelled a “man eater, whether it is or not, is a long seen pattern in India.   For any tiger that has the misfortune of running into humans illegally encroaching and stealing from the tigers and other animals rightful homes, the Tiger will always be the one blamed for behaving natural when faced in its own home/territory.

In India, there is so few wildlife corridors for the tigers to move  (this also includes every other range state the tiger sub species occupies internationally) and there is an obvious zero political will to remedy this terrible situation.  India, who seems to reinforce proudly at any possible time they can, that their nation has the greatest numbers of tigers on earth, needs a massive wake up call.  With these repeated hysterical “man eater must die” situations being so frequent, India may very soon experience the loss of their greatest asset, the Royal Bengal Tiger.

From conservationists on the ground in India, the latest population count reported by the Government is said to be greatly exaggerated. Many believe there are only a maximum of 1000 Bengal Tigers left in India.

Avni did not need to die, but the authorities that damned her needed her to die.  It has come to light that Avni, her cubs, the father of the cubs and a few more animals are living in forest land that is allotted for corporate plans.

What this means is that any and all measures are taken to ensure that the animals occupying an allocated forest land for corporate measures must be removed in one way or another, and as we have all learnt from previous fake “man eater” episodes, there will be excuses and stories molded to fit the authorities real intentions, and the truth will be hidden.

In the case of Avni, in January 2018 it was said she killed someone. There was no proof of this.  However, the next reported killing by Avni was August 2018, and again there was no proof she did it.  THIS IS NOT THE ACTIONS OF A MAN EATER.   Yes, Avni has/had cubs, and yes of course she would be extremely protective of them, so the running story of hyping up her aggression is blatant propaganda. If a you posed a threat or danger to any mother’s children, whether they be human or animal, you will face the wrath of the mothers inbuilt protection instinct.   This also DOES NOT make Avni a “man eater” or “an abnormal aggressive tigress”.  It makes her normal.

But what about the illegal encroachment into the forest, what about the fact that there is no absolute proof that Avni killed these people, what about the other Tigers and animals living in this area?  Will we soon start hearing about another man eating tiger, or a man eating deer?? Yes it is that ridiculous and pathetic.

The Maharashtra Government showed no will to protect their critically endangered Royal Bengal mother Tigress, and they ensured she was killed.  The Maharashtra Government is also guilty of leaving two 9 month old cubs out in the wild.  Tiger cubs need to stay with their mothers for at least 18 months – 2 years to learn survival skills.  Right now, its looking very bleak for these cubs survival.

If this is allocated corporate land, what is the Maharashtra Government going to do with the rest of the Tigers and animals who live there?

Lets talk about the hunter called into shoot Avni –  an expert? I highly doubt this man Shafath is anything but expert. 10 months and he couldn’t dart her. Either he is a pathetic shot or he is plainly an inadequate marksman.

On the 19th of September 2018, Cee4life wrote to the Maharashtra Government offering our assistance to safely dart Avni and her cubs and help with creation of a large sanctuary for Tigers that were deemed either true dangerous tigers or the growing number of falsely accused tigers. Below is the letter that Cee4life wrote to the Maharashtra Government.

T1 letter to Maharashtra

We did not get a reply from them at all.  We can only imagine why, but this type of inaction only adds fuel to an already a burning bonfire.

Although there were massive protests to save Avni’s life from around the world and the wonderful work of the Indian conservationists, the Maharashtra Government were on a one way track mindset to kill Avni.

It is nothing less than a shocking, disgraceful tragedy with no conservation or protection value at all.

In a world when the entire population of all tiger subspecies is only approximately 3000,  Avni it seems, was killed for no other reason than the want and will of three men to frame and kill her.

We also sent a polite email to the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA), whom in the past had brilliant leaders who would act.  But now those leaders are gone, and the NTCA were not there for Avni either. Why?  They had the power to stop this but they didn’t.

This leaves an obvious question which quite frankly many already know the answer to:  Is there people in positions of authority that are so unqualified and irresponsible that the do not have the slightest understanding of the vital importance to protect the Apex predators and the critical role they play in the balance of the ecosystems?  Is there any understanding of any other animal and the forests and rivers of India? Or could it be that the allure of $$$ signs and lining pockets to ensure corporate allocated land goes ahead instead as a priority instead of protecting the last of the  critically endangered species (and law protected) and the last precious wildlife and forests of India?

The loss of Avni has the world grieving on so many levels.

Now we wait to see what will become of the two orphaned cubs and the rest of the Tigers and animals in this corporate allocated forest.

Meanwhile, the human overpopulation and mass poverty continues in the Indian forests – The Land of the Tigers

Help protect animals from Cyber Criminals

tiger logo vector

Poachers, wildlife traffickers and cons are using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Blogs and all forms of social media, and sometimes mainstream media, to track the location of where critically endangered animals are and the locations of  in-demand species used for the scientifically proven false fake traditional medicines.  These poachers, wildlife traffickers and cons also use social media platforms and some main stream media to locate critically endangered and in demand animals to  scalp their fur or other body parts for the misguided, ancient, outdated and uneducated belief that owning the fur of a tiger, the horn of a Rhino, the claws of a Lion, and countless more sickening things, gives them status. Cons latch onto stories in social media and create fake fundraising campaigns usually on fundraising sites where virtually no credential checking is required.  Cee4life will no longer be announcing locations of any wild animals that we aid until the safety of the animal is secured.  Be-careful, its a cyber crime jungle out there.

Two Years On: The Tiger Temple Tigers

Chairs cubs 2 hit compilation

Recently, an article was published by an organisation named “For Tigers”.  From information available, the formation of the “For Tigers” organisation occurred AFTER the Department of National Parks in Thailand confiscated the tigers from the notorious Tiger Temple in 2016. We feel that the public needs to know, for transparency purposes, who “For Tigers” is and who they consist of.  “For Tigers” was created by ex tiger temple volunteers and other members. While an organisation like this may seem good in writing, dont be fooled, we believe that their article deserves a response.  Here is their article – http://www.fortigers.org/single-post/2018/05/30/TWO-YEARS-ON-WHERE-ARE-THE-TIGER-TEMPLE-TIGERS-NOW

Background

The Tiger Temple was a venue in Thailand that started breeding tigers for tourism encouraging “selfies” with tourists, including parents putting their babies as small as 4 months old, to sit on the stomach of an adult tiger (one of the most obvious dangerous things you could do).  But this is how the Tiger Temples marketing machine worked, luring people to believe that “Monks and Tigers lived in harmony”, however behind the scene’s sickening abuses and disappearances of tiger began occurring as early as the 1990’s .  Many tourists rushed to get up close to these otherwise solitary animals, but were never told of the multiple bites and mauling the tigers would do once they became fed up with being chained, beaten, exploited and abused.  The Tiger Temple had a multitude of foreign volunteers working in the temple, some short term, some long term.  While some volunteers were sickened by what they saw and immediately left, others stayed for long periods of time (years).  These volunteers called the Tiger Temple their home, and would turn a blind eye to all horrifying abuse. While the disappearances of multiple tigers occurred over years, not one long term volunteer stepped forward to reveal the truth of what was occurring.  Members of Cee4life and the general public recruited  by Cee4life, investigated the Tiger Temple for nine years to gather the evidence of the trafficking and abuses in order to save the lives of these magnificent tigers.  Cee4life presented all evidence to the Department of National Parks Thailand in December 2015.  When the final raids began  by the Department of National Parks Thailand in January 2016, which coincided with the National Geographic release of their confirmed findings and Cee4life’s The ‘Tiger Temple” report, the Tiger Temple put up a fight to keep the Department of National Parks Thailand out of the grounds of the Tiger Temple.  Cee4life presented the Department of National Parts with a second report in late May 2016, which chronicled the illegal sales and transport of tiger body parts across multiple countries.  The Department of National Parks Thailand recommenced their raid on the Tiger Temple in June 2016 in which they found multiple dead tigers among other animals, and multiple tiger body parts and other bottled tigers were found.  A vehicle tried to escape the Temple grounds, but was caught with tiger skins and thousands of tiger body part necklaces trinkets, which were also worn by many of the foreign staff and other temple workers.  The temple was closed.  Charges are still pending on the killers of these tigers. Many of those who abused and exploited the tigers are associated with the newly formed group called “For Tigers”.

Please read and go to all links on – The Tiger Temple Report – http://www.cee4life.org/wp-content/uploads/cee4life_tiger-temple-report.pdf

Brief Summary

The “For Tigers” article does ask one relevant question, “Where are the tiger temple tigers now”, the answer is – they are in the Department of National Parks facilities, but still the ex volunteers of the Tiger Temple, responsible for savage abuses and turning a blind eye to the disappearances of so many tigers, still lurk around them.  For transparency purposes, we feel the need to reveal the role of some of the members of “For Tigers” and what they actually did to protect the tigers during the years leading up to the confiscation of the tigers of the Tiger Temple in Thailand.  One word – nothing.

It is very well known and proven that the tigers of the Tiger Temple endured multiple abuses which they were subjected to by some of the members of the “For Tigers” organisation, however “For Tigers” fails to chronicle the disappearances and the deaths of the tigers at Tiger Temple which occurred under their watch.  They fail to state how for years they denied this abuse existed and denied any vanishing tigers, and they fail to come clean and admit how they turned a blind eye to such heinous atrocities.

One astounding and vitally important point is how they fail miserably to reveal the extraordinary lengths that many organisations, people and reputable media went to in order to try to protect the tigers and stop the killing and disappearances. They fail to reveal how ex volunteers, including members of “For Tigers”,  countered, ignored and refused any and all help offered to stop the slaughter, exploitation and vile abuses, many by their own hands.  They fail to reveal that any authentic person who did volunteer at Tiger Temple, and who questioned the abuse of the tigers was immediately belittled, character assassinated and thrown out.

The above photographs in this article is a very small look into what happened under the watch of some of these members.

So our response, without prejudice is this.

Over a period of 15 years, tigers were abused, whipped with chains, planked, dressed up in garish outfits for the pleasure of some of these volunteers.  They were hit, beaten, abused, and the ultimate of crimes, they were killed and trafficked and traded for their body parts, and some apparently vanished so Tiger Temple could acquire tigers for stronger bloodlines (as they were so inbred).  Lets not forget the making and selling of tiger body part trinkets for tourists – illegal and criminal.   Within the Tiger Temple, some of these same people in “For Tigers” irreverently and ignorantly wore the illegal teeth and claws of these tigers against the laws of CITES and Thai Wildlife Act, and one step further, these tiger body part trinkets were transported to multiple countries, where at any point in time, if caught, the punishments could have been up to 10 years in jail.

The temple staff, including members of “For Tigers”, failed to provide veterinary aid to the tigers when they so desperately needed help.  They gave tigers plastic bags to play with, they contributed enormously to the sickening “tiger selfies” fad which at one point was a “must have” on the public tourism itinerary.  By forcing tigers to endure these sadistic and cruel acts, they are highly responsible for teaching literally thousands of unknowing tourists the most abusive, exploitative and worst way to treat a magnificent tiger.  They would place ten or more tigers into one cement jail cell while telling the public that the tigers were living in lush massive enclosures, however 147 tiger in approximately 20 enclosures – do the math.

Saireung eyes 2a  Plastic bag 3   Many PS 4

Other staff opened the gates of the tiger temple and allowed tiger traffickers to come into the temple and vanish precious tigers in the middle of the night never to be seen again, and some of the members of “For Tigers” knew all this and more. The tigers were brutalized beyond comprehension, used and exploited like no other venue on the face of this earth, except maybe China and Vietnam.

gold olive silver UteB     Black ute 1  Saifa 2b

Under the watch of multiple ex tiger temple volunteers (who support For Tigers) not one volunteer associated now with For Tigers had the inclination or courage to stand up and stop these heinous crimes.  Some of the  members of “For Tigers”, were present inside the tiger temple for approximately nine years.  In that nine years, approximately 267 tigers vanished.  But their silence was deafening.

In the days after the confiscation, the only time members of “For Tigers”  opened their mouths was when the Department of National Parks Thailand finally came to close this evil venue.  A weak and cowardly action which seems to have only been carried out to serve themselves and save themselves. If the Department of National Parks had not confiscated the tigers, these people in staying with their long term character, would have remained silent and the disappearances and abuse would have continued.

It took courage and brave souls to expose this hell and ultimately protect these tigers from their continued horrifying abuses. Yet, we get the distinct impression that “For Tigers” would like to make themselves seem to be the saviors of the very tigers that they betrayed for so long.

The “For Tigers” article who’s organisation consists of some of the ex tiger temple volunteers, and who under their watch, knew multiple tigers disappeared, did not have the courage to speak up until it served themselves.

As for their article, “Two years on and what is happening to the tigers:”

  1. Multiple tigers died from disease contracted within the Tiger Temple, days BEFORE the Department of National Parks Thailand confiscated them and closed the evil venue down,
  2. More tigers died of that same disease contracted within the tiger temple upon arrival and over time at the Department of National Parks facilities from no fault of their own,
  3. The severe inbreeding and subsequent lowering of their immune system caused some tigers to die at an early age, and finally once again to answer For Tigers question,
  4. The Department of National Parks is caring for the tigers, they belong to the Thai Government.

We would like to add that while the tigers lived inside the Tiger Temple, they were in vile cement cells, with no den, and often overcrowded with numerous tigers which forced them to sit in the faeces and urine while their food was thrown on the ground or in bacteria ridden cement bowls.  They were deprived of everything.  Yet the 20 outside enclosures they managed to build in 15 years,  seems to be a point of pride and one which they feel justified that they were caring for the tigers.  The claim by the ex volunteers of the Tiger Temple was that the tigers were rotated regularly so each tiger received time outside. One of our undercover investigators noted on numerous occasions that the rotation of the tigers in these outside enclosures was so minimal that at one point, some tigers didnt see sunlight or touch grass and were not rotated for three months.

The Department of National Parks facilities may not be the ultimate living quarters, but the tigers are not being brutalized, exploited, beaten, planked, having selfies, and they are not disappearing in the middle of the night.

Dont ever think we have forgotten about the tigers of the temple.

Our finale response to the emotionally driven article aimed to pull your heart strings by “For Tigers” and their ex tiger temple members is this  – There is not enough that you could ever do in one hundred lifetimes to make up for the atrocities inflicted upon those tigers, many by your own hand.  There is not enough that you could ever do to bring back the vanished tigers that were lost  under your watch and who you turned a blind eye to and remained silent.  So you keep on raising funds under your veiled compassion, which is born from sheer betrayal, you keep on building things for the tigers, for this is the very least you could do. You turned your backs on the atrocities committed on these beautiful tigers for nearly a decade. You committed the ultimate betrayal  as you knew what was happening,  your shocking in-action lasted for years, and no matter what you do, these things you did will forever be owned and belong to you.
